Maternity

“To be pregnant is to be vitally alive, thoroughly woman, and distressingly inhabited. Soul and spirit are stretched – along with body – making pregnancy a time of

transition, growth, and profound beginnings.”(c)

Maternity might not be the easiest time in your life, but most certainly one of the most beautiful. Don't forget to have your photos taken not only for your sake, but also for your husband's and your future baby's. One day your kid will ask you how he/she would fit inside your belly. You'll want to refresh your memories about that beautiful period of time as well and gorgeous portraits in your photo book will help you with that. I'll make sure they look absolutely beautiful and I capture the very best of you.

If you want to combine maternity and family photos - you are welcome too! We can have two in one for the price of one, I'll be more than glad to do it for you (see my blogs entries on maternity sessions in San Diego by clicking here).

Timing

I recommend not to wait till the final days of your pregnancy and carry the session out in between week 26-36, before you start constantly getting tired and experiencing discomfort now and then.

If you want it to have a family feel, why don't you bring the rest of your family as well, or your pet (as long as location permits it).

What to expect from the session

A maternity session is the time when you are the center of the whole thing, so do expect a lot of attention and around 20-25 beautiful digital images, all print-ready with a print-release.

Location

You are free to choose any location in San Diego:

  •  a beach,
  • urban or rustic setting,
  • a pretty field with dry grass.

Whatever serves your plate. And, remember, stick to the location that makes your heart sing (and your feet light and not tired). Not sure whet location to choose? Ask me, I know of plenty!

If you don't like leaving your place for a session - not a problem. Some families oft for an at-home session and these come out gorgeous as well. With the maximum level of comfort.
