A family of three in Balboa

 ​Balboa park during the end of summer can be one crowded place. The day of this session with a family of three there was a military parade and there were so many people! Quite a reason to be nervous about. 

However, since it's such a big park there's a chance of privacy even during the public events.

Thank goodness, as a family photographer in San Diego, I know this place pretty well and we headed to our "sanctuary" rightaway.

This family in particular was looking not for a classic Balboa (read buildings, the fountain, the arches, etc) look, but luscious, almost tropical feel.

And that's exactly what we've got: green palm leaves, flowers, and fresh green succulents.

Balboa park has it all!
